Week of Awesomeness!

This is the cutest picture....you can see the genuine friends they have become! :)

Hello everyone! This week had been pretty awesome! On Tuesday we had interviews with our mission president. President Ames is too amazing! He gave me some really good advice and I also got a nice blessing from my Heavenly Father through him. The priesthood is so awesome and I'm so grateful that we have that power on the Earth today. God truly does love us. President Ames also came out to see Lucy with us along with a member of the stake presidency. It was a really great lesson, full of the spirit. We talked about why coming to church and reading and praying are so important. We set another baptismal date with Lucy for the 27th of September. Same day as Bobby and Mary's! That will be a wonderful day! We were also able to see Bobby and Mary on Tuesday and they are doing wonderful. They're so excited to get baptized! AND we also met with Chandler that day as well. It was amazing. We asked him why he wanted to get baptized and he said it was because God told him that he should, and that that is where God is leading him. It's great to see someone who is so dedicated to the Lord like that. We're just working on teaching him all the lessons and getting him to church.
On Wednesday we contacted a referral that we got from headquarters. His name is July. He is so prepared! He said that he met some missionaries in Allen after he's been having a crazy day and his truck had broken down. He talked to them and then they referred him to us. He's been going through some hard times and is trying to figure out what to believe. The spirit was so strong in the lesson that we had with him. It's amazing to be able to see how much the gospel can really help people if they are willing to believe and have an open heart.
Thursday we had another lesson with Bobby and Mary at a recent convert's house. They were still so excited about baptism and were asking so many questions about it. After that we went on exchange with the Sister Training Leaders. I stayed in this area with Sister Doty and we had an awesome time. We went and saw Lucy on Friday with an awesome member from the ward. Lucy said that's she's seeing a lot of change in her daughter, which is what she's been hoping for. She told us that the Holy Ghost testified to her daughter that she needed to come to church with her mom on Sunday and just made her feel loved and grateful that she still had her mom with her. It was really tender and the spirit testified of it as she told us. It's amazing to see the way that the spirit works in others lives, as well as my own. We also went over the blessing of living the law of chastity and it was cool to see that Lucy has experienced all of them since she has started living it. Lucy also came to church this Sunday which we were really happy about!
Then on Saturday we had an awesome lesson with Cinder. We were able to teach her about the restoration of the gospel and we could tell that she was really touched by it. We could also tell that she felt the spirit testify when we talked about prophets. She was so happy that we have one on the Earth today.
I'm so grateful for all the blessings that we've been able to experience this week and in this area! There truly is no other place I would rather be right now, despite missing home sometimes. I know that this is where I need to be and that my Heavenly Father is truly aware of me and all of His children. I'm so grateful for priesthood power and for worthy men who hold that power and use it correctly. I'm grateful for my wonderful companion Sister Lewis who I am learning so much from and who has been a wonderful friend to me. I'm so grateful for all of your support. It really means a lot. The church is true! God is good and He loves all of you! Don't forget that!
Love ya!
