Double Baptism!

BAPTISM! Let's see. Where do I start? Lots of exciting things are happening and are in the process of happening. I guess I'll start with transfer news. Transfers are this Wednesday and...Sister Lewis and I will both be staying...and we'll be joined by another sister! Trio time! It's going to be really interesting but I know it's what the Lord would have happen. It's going to be great! So we're currently in the process of reorganizing our apartment.
One of the many miracles of the week is that we finally saw Lucy! It was kind of funny how it happened though. So we didn't have any members feeding us for dinner on Wednesday. We planned to go to one place but were way too full from a member feeding us lunch that day so we decided to go to McDonald's to just get a little snack type thing. We eat all our food and are about to leave when Lucy walks in! It was amazing. We didn't stay and talk with her too long, but it was just good to see her and good to reaffirm that she still wants us around. One of the other miracles involving her is that she came to church! We really weren't expecting her to because we hadn't been in too much contact with her. So we were really happy to see her and have an appointment with her on Tuesday. Life seems to be getting pulled back together for her and we're glad.
Saul is still doing great. He actually asked what it is he has to do to become a "mormon" so we told him about baptism and he seems like he really wants to do it. The bittersweet news is that he's moving to the Fort Worth 6th ward. So we won't actually be able to teach him and help him get there, but we know that he's just so prepared so it should still happen. What's also cool is that our Relief Society President's daughter actually lives in that ward, so we should hopefully still be able to hear about how he's doing.
Now last but not least...Bobby and Mary! Their baptism was so amazing! They were so happy. The suits that they wore were pretty big and the sleeves were really baggy, so Bobby was walking around flapping her arms and told us that she felt like an angel. I just love her. So many people from the ward came to support them and the program went really well. The spirit was definitely there. It was just so amazing and sweet to see them enter into this covenant path and to see how happy they are because of it. Their faith has grown so much and their love for each other and God has increased.

The reason this all happened was because of Mary's love for Bobby. Mary has always considered herself pretty close to God, but Bobby for many years was angry with Him. She didn't understand why people had to suffer like they did. Mary was sad for Bobby because she was always so angry and stressed. So when the sister missionaries knocked on their door and offered a way to get closer to Christ and an offer to help in the yard, Mary accepted it, saying that Bobby could really use some help. Those wonderful missionaries taught Bobby gradually and Mary tried to stay in the background. Bobby's faith grew as she met with the missionaries and when she accepted the invitation to be baptized, Mary wanted to join in with her. So we taught them everything they needed and wanted to know and they got baptized! I've been really blessed to have the opportunity to teach these wonderful daughters of God and to see the atonement work in their lives.
I've been learning a lot about the atonement and grace lately, and have been blessed with the strength and opportunities to apply them in my life. The atonement is so real! As well as Christ's grace. I'm so grateful for a Savior who loves us and is willing to help us along our path back to our Heavenly Father. There's no other way that we could possibly do it! This life is too hard and there's too many temptations! Christ really is "the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6). I know this to be true. I know that this is Christ's church restored on the Earth. I know that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us infinitely and who wants us to return to Him. I love Him and I love my Savior. I also love all of you! Have a fantastic week!
