Crazy Week!

Cooled off this week!

So I didn't think I'd have that much to update y'all with on account of just talking to you a few days ago. I was wrong. These last 3 and half days have been crazy!
So on Friday we had to drive our car to Euless to have some damage on it looked at. (We weren't in a car accident or anything, it just got scraped.) It was really awesome to be in my first area again! So we take the car to have pictures taken at a damage repair shop and then we go to the mission office to have our bike rack looked at. We got a bike rack a little while back, but it was too big for the hitch. So one of the Elders takes a look at it, and then tells us that we need to go to Uhaul so that they can look at the hitch and basically confirm that yes the hitch is too small. So we do that, and then they tell us that the bike rack is too big for the hitch. Then we drive back to the mission office where the office Elder sends us with two other Elders to go and get a bike rack from storage. So long story short.
WE HAVE A BIKE RACK!!!!! I'm not that excited to bike though haha, it'll just save on miles.
So here's where it gets crazy. As we're driving back from Euless I pull the phone out of my bag and see that we have a missed call and a text from Lucy. The text tells us to call her cause she really needs us. So we call and she doesn't answer. We call again and still no answer. I think like 5 hours go by before she call us back. She tells us that her ex-boyfriend/father of her two kids has been in an accident and that he's in the ICU and that she's there now with her kids. So later that day we get permission to go see her and share a message with her. The next day her ex-boyfriend wakes up and says that he doesn't even want to see any of them. Which was pretty sad, especially for her children. The amazing thing to see was how much faith Lucy has. The whole time she was just like "I know that God has a plan for me and for all of us" and was reading scripture and doing all that she could to have the spirit be there. She even came to sacrament meeting with her two kids.
That was another miracle that we saw these last couple of days. We were so blessed in having SEVEN of our investigators come to church! It was amazing. Lucy and her two kids were there. Then Bobby and Mary were also able to make it. Then Scout and her family. As well as a surprise investigator that we had just met on Thursday. It was really amazing to see. They all seemed to really love it.
We were truly blessed this week to do some awesome work despite our schedule getting moved around and some of the crazy things happening in the lives of our investigators. God truly does have a plan for everything and for every one of His children. It just takes Faith to trust in Him and His plan when life takes an unexpected turn. I have definitely felt my Faith in Him and in His son grow. Missions can be hard but they're also fun and can teach you a lot. It's been amazing to see the growth in myself, although it is sometimes hard for me to see or acknowledge. But I know it's there, and I know that this church is true. I know that having faith in Jesus Christ and His atonement is the only way that we can truly change and grow and be more like Him. I know that repentance is real and it is a process. It's not always an easy process, but it is SO worth it! I've seen it change lives and circumstances. I have felt that change in my own life and it is so sweet.

"Men are, that they might have joy." -2 Nephi 2:25

"Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured" -President Hinckley

That is something that I'm really working hard to learn. Being happy always, and having that "attitude of gratitude" as President Uchtdorf said. I know that it is

through faith in Christ that I can do this, and that all of us can do this. So turn your hearts to Him, it is worth it!
I love you!
