Miracle Bladders!

Image
This has been another hard week, but it's had lot of good moments and we've still seen a lot of miracles. I know that God loves us because even on the hardest of weeks or the hardest of moments he still sends us miracles, and I know that it's because of our faith that we are able to see that. We saw Emma again and were able to have a really good lesson with her. We were able to ask lots of questions and basically reset expectations with her. It was truly a miracle because we've been praying and praying that we'd be able to have a normal conversation with her, because she's got a lot on her plate and usually takes up most of the time telling us about the things going on in her life. It was really amazing because I could feel the spirit working through us throughout the lesson. I was really able to feel it work through me which was a tender mercy because I'd been losing a little bit of confidence in my teaching skills. After we saw...

Happy Birthday to me :)

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! I had a really good day. I ate dinner with the senior couple in the YSA as well as a few of the YSA members. We also we're able to meet this really sweet guy named Sam who is working on going to the temple. He said he really wants to take his family to the temple. He just had such a clear direction on where he wanted to go. It was really great to see! John is totally getting baptized this week! He was interviewed on Sunday and is all set. It's really awesome because his whole family is coming to see it and they're all non-members! I hope that they'll feel the spirit! How can they not? John is so amazing. I'm so proud of him and so grateful for this decision he is making. He's already talking about the temple so it's good that he's set his sights on that. On Friday we had a really great lesson with our Elders Quorum President. We went over to share a missionary m...

Ups and Downs

This week has had it's ups and downs, but it's all good. We did a lot of work with recent converts and less active members this week. We also saw John this week and he's still on track for his baptism on the 20th! He's really an awesome guy and has a strong testimony! Miracles we saw this week: Saturday was just a very rough day. None of our plans worked out like we hoped they would and we had a lot of people just giving us some opposition. It was 8 o clock and we couldn't think of anyone to go see. We debated just going in early, because we felt so exhausted, and planning a really good day for the next day or trying to find someone to see. We said a really great prayer and a recently returning single sister's name popped into my head. We texted her to see if we could stop by and she said she had just gotten in to town from Austin and wouldn't be home for another ten minutes, but we could come by then. So we go over and have a good con...

This Week

Image
Here's a picture of a pretty Lutheran church in our area.   This week has been hard. I've been struggling a lot with some personal issues. We saw a lot of miracles though and have done some great work. We were able to see a lot of people, but not much progression has happened this week. Which is okay. We haven't been able to meet with Felix but we have plans to see him on Wednesday . OH I'm also going to be staying here for another 6 weeks with Sister Larsen, we're pretty excited about that. We were able to see John this week and it was really awesome! He's just so open and it eating it all up. He loves the gospel and you can just tell he does when you talk to him and look at him. I don't think I'd ever been able to notice people's countenances before, but his has changed so much and it's truly a miracle to witness! He's going to be getting baptized on the 20th now instead of the 21st to accommodate some family is...
