Lots of Miracles
Zone Meeting
With Sis. Carbno and Sis. Ames
This week was great! Let's see, where do I start? Let's start with
Lucy.
Lucy is still doing awesome! She's still on track for baptism despite some of the trials she has had this past week. Satan is working really hard on her. We had an awesome lesson with her on Tuesday with a wonderful member from our ward. We talked a lot about faith and she seemed to find a lot of strength from that. Wednesday is when it started to get a little crazy. We also decided in the lesson that we were going to have some priesthood holders come over the next night to give her a priesthood blessing.
So the next day we were in a lesson with Scout and had gotten a phone call and some texts from Lucy. After the lesson we were able to check the messages and she told us that she wasn't feeling up to us coming over anymore and that she was getting evicted because of her dogs and just wasn't feeling too happy. We messaged her back and just asked if she was sure, and that we felt she could really use this priesthood blessing, especially in the face of possible eviction. We said a prayer and a few minutes after the prayer she answered back and told us that we could still come over. Victory! We went over and she told us all about the situation and then she was able to receive a blessing from two of the brethren in our ward. Someone's car alarm went off in the middle of the blessing! We were out on her porch so it was so loud! Lucy was awesome and wasn't distracted by it at all. She told us that the blessing was really meaningful and has already helped her a lot. What's also really great is that her son Conner came out for the blessing and has now been sitting in on lessons with us! Lucy has been doing a lot of family prayer and scripture reading and Conner has been really interested in it. After another lesson with them he told us that he'd read the whole book of Moroni! And that he had prayed about it and felt that the Book of Mormon is true! He also told us that he could see himself getting baptized one day. That kid is a champ! They were both at church this Sunday too!
Oh!
Conner's dad moved out too! Lucy is really progressing. Another distraction that
Satan threw her way was that one of her ex-boyfriends from Houston came to stop
by on Saturday. Let's just say...he's a little crazy. I mean he's still a child
of God, but a pretty crazy child of God. She said he was going to leave Sunday,
but then he got in an accident that ruined his work truck and last we heard he
was still there but his boss is sending someone up from Houston to come get him.
We have a lesson with Lucy tonight and are very much hoping that he won't be
there. Just for like everyone's sake. It should be a good lesson tonight though!
Lucy said that she's still good on the commandments and progressing. November 1st is going to be a good
day!Lucy is still doing awesome! She's still on track for baptism despite some of the trials she has had this past week. Satan is working really hard on her.
