This week was a little chaotic, especially the weekend. We had
interviews with President Ames on Wednesday. It was really awesome. He
gave me a lot of good advice. We set a baptismal date with one of our
investigators this week! I'm calling her Lucy. She's going to get
baptized June 28. She is determined to do it, despite some of the
challenges that she's going to have to overcome. I'm always so amazed
to see how faith in Jesus Christ and his gospel can change someone and
give them the strength to overcome hard things. Lucy has been meeting
with missionaries for about a year now and she has such a strong
testimony of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. She's got two kids
that are interested and have testimonies also. Lucy even came to
church yesterday! She is too awesome. She's had a hard life and is so
humble and willing to turn to the Lord because of it. She has taught
me so much already. I find that I always seem to learn something new
about the gospel from those that we teach it to.

I also had the great privilege to attend and speak as Sarah's
baptism! It was so awesome! It was also a little scary because we got
there a little late and I almost missed my talk. The highways here are
under a lot of construction and are pretty confusing. Luckily we made
it just in time. I talked about baptism and the covenants we make and
enduring to the end. I'm told it was good. Sister Gunson also spoke
about the Holy Ghost. It was so awesome to see her too! Sarah was so
happy after her baptism. It's been so amazing to see the progress that
she has made. I am so blessed to have been able to see it and help.
I'm grateful that the Lord allowed me to participate in such an
awesome work! I know that without Him Sarah wouldn't be where she is
today, and that she wouldn't have had her own conversion without the
Holy Ghost. It just makes me so happy to think that she can leave her
old life that made her unhappy and continue in this new life of
commitment to Christ that will bring her so much joy!

I also had to give a talk at church yesterday. It was about how
Priesthood Ordinances can bless our families. I talked about what the
priesthood is and the ordinances that it is able to perform and
focused on baptism, receiving the Holy Ghost and temple covenants. I
also talked about wonderful priesthood leaders and staying worthy of
priesthood blessings. I hope that it helped the ward to get to know me
a little better.

At least once a month President Ames holds a fireside in Hurst where
the missionaries who live close by are invited to bring their recent
converts, less active members, or investigators. We were able to go
last night with Lucy and a member from our ward. President Ames is so
inspired! He gives the best talks ever. We were also able to hear some
recent convert's testimonies and stories. Elder De Lima was asked to
speak too because he is a convert. His conversion story is so awesome!

All in all we had an awesome, really spiritual week. I'm so grateful
to be out here and have been so blessed because of it. I love you all!
