A punch in the nose!
This week was a little hectic haha. On my last Day in Euless we were
able to visit with Sarah one last time. It was really nice. I love her
so much! I'm going to miss her. Then Wednesday was transfers.
Arlington is a nice place. Our area is huge though! I don't know how
I'll ever learn where I'm going. Sister Inoke is awesome! She is
hilarious and very kind. This is going to be a good transfer. The week
was so hectic though because when I got here we had to move
apartments, and our apartment is now about five miles outside our
area. Then since it was towards the end of the month we were running a
little low on miles, so we had to walk...a lot. I got a nice tan
though, I didn't even think that was possible haha.
This ward is great though! It seems to be quite a lot of empty nester
types, and there's a lot of single sisters as well. They're all so
friendly though. I got told about 20 times that I looked really
young...it was great haha. We've got awesome people though. We're
working with a lot of less active members too. There's this one family
we visit who have five cats! I was in heaven! We also saw a fox in
their backyard! It was crazy cool!
Oh funny story time. Every Friday we go to the local nursing home to
do free manicures for the women there. I had just finished painting
one woman's nails and got up to help another lady come over to where
we were sitting. As I approached her another woman who was sitting
next to her says "Don't come near here, I'm going to punch you in the
nose!" So I was like "You're going to hit me in the nose?" Then she
said "Yeah and then you'll get mad and hit me back!" So then I told
her that I wouldn't do that and then she just kind of muttered
something and backed off. It was kind of funny cause she was just this
tiny little old lady in a wheel chair.
So yeah that was just some of my week here. Arlington is cool so far.
We actually have like 3 different cities in our area as well. It's
huge! Oh and I'm probably going to see Sister Christensen today! She
got transferred to the other Arlington zone, but apparently we all
hang out on P-day. So I'm really excited for that!
The church is true!
Love ya!
